Described by music bible Drowned In Sound as 'a sunken masterpiece', 'Nah Und Fern' is the superb post-rock, trippy album from Gas, aka Kompakt's Wolfgang Voigt. Taking influence from classical circles as well as traditional German ambience, this is a pure aural delight. Highly recommended.

This quirky indie cut from Newcastle quartet Viva City been hotly tipped by the likes of Tom Robertson and has now been playlisted on BBC6 Music. Despite its slightly unoriginal title, 'Zen Lounge', the brand new compilation album from Essential is actually extremely brilliant. Includes an array of achingly emotive downtempo cuts with this, the sublime 'Nautilus' from Zenattitude one of the highlights. Recommended!

If you like your music a bit left of field then be sure to check this, as its definitely as off the wall as it comes! Lounge covers of hard rock records are generally hillarious but there's something quite sinister about this. One of the best/strangest Nirvana covers out there!

Static Discos is a Mexican independent label based in Tijuana with a focus on delivering some of the best ambient, EDM and dub music available in audio. Perdutto showcases this with the utterly enchanting 'Never Smoke Angels', featuring the sublime 'No Home', a true Nightmares on Wax-esque beauty.
